Giulia lives with her husband and their two children in a historic frescoed building in the center of Faenza, a charming and culturally rich tourist town. Her home is a heritage residence inside a beautiful ancient palace closely linked to the fine arts, right in the heart of Faenza’s historic center. She learned to cook traditional Romagnolo dishes and family recipes from her grandmother, and she is excited to share this culinary heritage with travelers through an authentic in-home dining experience. A few classics you might try include piadina (traditional Romagnolo flatbread) served with assorted cold cuts, typical Romagna cheeses, and grilled vegetables; fresh hand-made Romagna pasta; and for dessert, zuppa inglese, a beloved traditional Italian trifle.
